maybe controversial opinion, but. all those posts and stuff about ‘Crowley makes Aziraphale see that he’s beautiful!!’, I get where those are coming from, I really do. but fat-shaming is a very human invention, and a relatively new one at that, and sorry, but I just can’t imagine Aziraphale buys into it for a second. he knows he’s beautiful! he set the standard. he inspired Rubens. guys, he knows

deadcatwithaflamethrower

Suddenly I understand some of my fan base a LOT better.  That is Awesome.

obsessionisaperfume

“holy shit there is a name for it” was my reaction before I even scrolled down to the comments.

rachelhaimowitz

I just need to keep reblogging this because I cannot even begin to tell you how profound a feeling of YES and THIS and THERE IS A WORD FOR ME OMG I get every time I see this, and I hope it helps others too.

astronomifier

seriously, anytime you see a post with a comment saying “theres a name for it?!” reblog that post because even if it doesnt apply to you any of your followers could be waiting for that revelation.

thisdiscontentedwinter

Always reblog, because I never knew there was a word for this.

lmfao the apex subreddit has been fucking melting down over new optional paid cosmetics in the game and making death threats against the devs and when one of them responded to a death threat asking people to stop it we got this primo new copypasta posted completely unironically

heartofrhine

For those who want context other than "lmao gamers mad"

Apex started off small and people were just getting into it. It's a F2P game so they need to make money somehow. They sold cosmetics and stuff over the store and you even can earn packages and coins to get loot boxes. Really easy system.

Then the game blew up in popularity and EA finally showed their face and ramped up the prices on everything. a single hand cannon skin can cost up to 80 to unlock. Unlocking everything can cost around 180 dollars. Getting the special curated combat axe isn't even earned its a chance after you get every pack.

So people said "hey don't do this this is really messed up" and then the developers said everyone is just freeloading and how they are ass hats. People started to meme them only for the devs to double down and trash them more for saying "$80 for a Wingman skin is over doing it"

This isn't just "lmao just don't buy the boxes" this is people hating what is happening to a game they actually really like.

Also, fuck EA

autismandstuff

I keep seeing @ifihadmypickofwishes's two posts about doctors and it keeps making me remember how I describe pain to others. Like a lot of autistic people, I have a hard time describing pain, the most I can tell people in normal terms is if it's throbbing or not. So I just try my best to relate my current pain to pain that is commonly felt by people (like paper cuts or running into something) or something that is easily imagined.

Just the other day I told my dad about my chest pain, and what type of chest pain you're having is important because it can tell you a lot about what's going on, so when he asked what it felt like I told him "It's like someone's taking their knuckle and pressing it into my sternum but worse" That's easy for people to imagine, hell you could do that to yourself right now and see that it doesn't feel good.

Idk if this would help anyone, but I thought I'd tell y'all just in case.

Oh yeah, like I feel pain in colors or sounds. Like that’s how my brain interprets them.

The one thing I can describe accurately is my reaction to my meds. It feels like a sunburn crawling from my hairline to my toes. Fucking weird

But headaches....are white for me. I can tell you where it is but that’s about it. I think one time I described the location as a pole going straight through my head but that doesn’t describe pain level.

A scraped knuckle is red. Maybe orange. Honestly it reminds me of licking electricity.

I skinned my knees the other day and my first two thoughts were the last time I did it and that i thought it would be more slimy.

But this helps no one except me to know how bad anything hurts and that really sucks sometimes.

listen man,,, the thought that there are people out there rioting, willing to fight policemen and neonazis and any other oppressive corrupted group and wearing all black so that they can protect each other and stay anonymous makes me fiercely happy

iinfernal

peaceful protests only work when the ones making the laws are willing to listen and they very rarely are. they honestly truly want to keep us in check and they will unless we fight back. it's a cycle and we've hit the point where peaceful protests aren't going to work much anymore

iinfernal

violence isn't good but it's all we've fucking got left

queeranarchism

I agree with everything here except the suggestion that this is something that changed over the last years or decades. Nothing has changed. Rioting has always been how progress was made.

Every time it has been rewritten as a merciful gift from the powers that be who, in their eternal wisdom, worked with the peaceful protestor to improve faith for all mankind.

When the truth is those in power were only willing to compromise with the pacifists and give us an inch because they were shitting themselves with fear over the ones that were willing to fight.

Americans: how many of you were actually taught about the USA’s genocidal war against the Philippines in school?

antifamoshe

image

aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

puffdaddy-666

The American government is a genocidal war machine. Not only has it actively participated in genocide, its also helped countries commit genocide all for political clout. Look up the 1971 Bangladeshi Genocide.

antifamoshe

Counting the genocides we helped in would like include most of the goddamn world yeah

gunsandfireandshit

Look up what the U.S. did in Indonesia, the fourth most populous country after the U.S.

chaoticskyy

The Guatemalan Genocide of the Maya people is another one. The confirmed death toll was more 42,000. The Maya were seen as sub-humans (and still are) and that’s not all. There were over 400,000 people “disappeared” including an uncle of mine, my great granny died thinking he was found. The death toll for adults is somewhere between 45,000 and 60,000. But since many of Ladinos (black and indigenous) and Maya were buried in mass graves we have no way of knowing. All of this was backed by the U.S armed forces.

smokymemer

yall might also wanna learn about laos and “the secret war”, which was basically a us backed civil war. the US dropped so many bombs, most not-city places are still unsafe. it’s apparently one of the most bombed countries on earth, agent orange was used there, bombs still lay in the dirt ready to explode, and i never ever learned about it in school. kinda terrifying

ah the history nobody ever learns man i fucking wish people werent cunts like the corporste genocidal war machine is just so not hip and happening and i just wish there was a fun and easy way for all the family to dismantle it like in scooby doo
